DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a bicycle pedal, and more particularly, to a pedal whose pedal body is rotatably supported on a crank arm of a bicycle crank via a pedal shaft. A pedal body is rotatably supported on a pedal shaft via a bearing, a tread is provided on one side of the pedal body, and the crank is rotated by placing a foot on the tread and stepping on the pedal. There is.

By the way, in cycling cars and competition bicycles, a balance weight is provided on the pedal body so that the tread surface is always in an upward position, but in this case, an unbalanced load acts on the pedal body. If the pedal body is prone to wobbling in the front and back directions relative to the pedal axis, the tread surface will also wobble in the front and back direction, making it difficult to step on the road surface, and there is also the risk of not stepping on the tread surface. It was expensive.

Furthermore, even in the case of a pedal without a balance weight, if the pedal body is rotated about the pedal axis so that the tread surface that is facing downward or sideways is facing upward, the pedal body may It wobbled back and forth, making it difficult to step on the tread.

The present invention was invented in view of the above points, and the purpose is to suppress the wobbling of the pedal body with respect to the pedal axis when the tread is in an upward position, and to make it easier to step on the road surface provided on the pedal body and to make it difficult to step off. The point is to provide pedals that can be used.

The contact resistance with the resistance imparting surface (81) of 2b) provides resistance to the rotation of the pedal body (2) with respect to the pedal shaft (1). Note that the resistance imparting surface (81) is
The pedal body (2) is formed over a rotation range of a predetermined angle with respect to the reference position (X), and in a rotation range beyond this, the resistance imparting surface (81) is formed as shown in Figure @4. The relief surface (83) has a circular arc shape with a radius of curvature larger than the radius of curvature, so as not to come into contact with the resistance ring (82). That is, within the range where the resistance ring (82) contacts the resistance imparting surface (81), it provides resistance to the rotation of the pedal body (2) with respect to the pedal shaft (1);
In the range where the resistance ring (82) does not contact the resistance imparting surface (81), the pedal body (2) is connected to the pedal shaft (1).
This allows for free rotation.

Further, other means of the resistance applying means (8) include a resistance applying shaft (84) extending in the axial direction of the pedal shaft (1), the resistance ring (82), and the like as shown in FIG. 6.7. The cap (7) K is configured such that the resistance imparting shaft (84) is disposed outside the bearing portion (28) of the pedal body (2).
The distal end of the resistance imparting shaft (84) is opposed to the distal end of the pedal shaft (1) with a slight interval, and the outer peripheral surface (la) of the distal end of the pedal shaft (1) and the outer circumference of the resistance imparting shaft are arranged. The resistance ring (82) is freely rotatably supported between the resistance ring (82) and the resistance ring inner circumferential surface (82a) and the pedal shaft outer circumferential surface (1a) and the resistance-applying shaft outer circumferential surface (84a). Due to the contact resistance of the pedal body (2), the pedal shaft (

The resistance imparting shaft (84) is formed, for example, in a semicircular shape as shown in FIG. Within the range of rotation by a predetermined angle with respect to the reference position (X),
bringing the resistance ring (82) into contact with the resistance imparting shaft (84);
In a rotation range beyond this, the resistance ring (82) is prevented from coming into contact with the resistance imparting shaft (84) as shown in FIG. The resistance imparting shaft (84) may be provided on the pedal body (2), or may be provided separately from the pedal body (1), for example on the bowl (5).

In the pedal constructed as described above, the mounting shaft (II) of the pedal shaft (l) is screwed into the mounting hole provided at the free end of the crank arm of the bicycle crank. The pedal is positioned a predetermined angle forward in the depression direction from the top dead center of the crank, and the pedal is depressed by placing the foot K on the tread surface (2a) of the pedal body (2). When the pedal is depressed, the resistance imparting means, such as the resistance ring (82), comes into contact with the resistance imparting surface (81) and provides resistance to the rotation of the pedal body (2) with respect to the pedal shaft (I). Pedal body (2)
It is possible to suppress the wobbling of the pedal body (2) and the wobbling of the road surface (2a) provided on the pedal body (2).
a) is easy to depress, and there is little risk of stepping off the tread (2a).Also, when the pedal body (2) is reversed and the tread (2a) is in a downward position, Since the resistance @C82) is far away from contacting the resistance applying surface (81), the pedal shaft (1) of the pedal body (2)
), and therefore by applying a small force to the pedal body (2), the pedal body (2) can be rotated with respect to the pedal shaft (1) and the tread surface (2) can be rotated relative to the pedal shaft (1).
a) can be turned upward.

As described above, in the present invention, the pedal is provided between the pedal shaft and the pedal body in a predetermined angular range with respect to the reference position of the pedal body, in which the tread surface provided on one side of the pedal body is positioned horizontally in a downward state. Since the resistance providing means for providing resistance to the rotation of the body with respect to the pedal shaft is provided, it is possible to suppress wobbling of the pedal body with respect to the pedal shaft when the tread is in the upper state. Therefore, the tread surface provided on one side of the pedal body can be made easier to step on, and at the same time, can be made difficult to depress. Moreover, when the tread is in the downward position, the application of rotational resistance to the pedal body can be canceled, so that the tread can be moved upward by simply applying a small force to the pedal body.

Moreover, since the resistance applying means can be configured with an extremely simple structure consisting of, for example, the outer circumferential surface of the pedal shaft, the resistance applying surface, and the resistance ring, it can be provided at a low cost while suppressing wobbling of the pedal body.
