Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a high grade image in a non-peelable state, in an ink jet printer suitable for fabricating the original drawing for OHP, by providing a means for irradiating a member to be recorded after image formation with radiant light. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 1 comprising a transparent resin film having an ink receiving layer which is ink-compatible and is cured by ultraviolet rays formed to the surface to be recorded thereof receives a color image recorded by a recording head 4 and sent to an ultraviolet ray projecting apparatus 9 by roller pairs 7, 8 to be irradiated with ultraviolet rays and the ink receiving layer is cured and toughened while the ink emitted from the recording head 4 and adhered to the ink receiving layer is brought to a perfectly fixed state in the ink receiving layer. Thereafter, the image formed paper is cut into a predetermined length by a cutter 10 and the obtained recorded paper 11 is used as the original drawing for OHP. By this method, the original drawing having a high grade image formed thereto, generating no image peeling and suitable for an overhead projector can be fabricated.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In general, transparent ML finger films such as polyester films suitable for IIHP originals do not have ink absorbency when images are formed by an inkjet method, and the fixation of images by ink is poor. In order to solve this problem, in the case of a transparent resin film having an ink-philic ink-receiving layer, the ink-receiving layer is susceptible to water and moisture and does not have sufficient strength. For these reasons, in original images for 0) IP that are formed on transparent resin films, the formed images may be of low quality, or the ink-receiving layer may peel off, resulting in missing parts in the formed images. There were drawbacks.

The recording paper l is pulled out by a pair of transport rollers 7 and 8, fed via a guide roller 2, and transported via a pair of transport rollers 3 toward a recording position of an inkjet recording head 4. A porous guide plate 5 is provided at the recording position, and a suction fan 6 moves the recording paper 1 onto the porous guide plate 5.
It is transported while being sucked into. As a result, the flatness of the recording paper 1 is maintained, and the distance between the recording surface and the inkjet recording head 4 is maintained optimally.

Here, the inkjet recording head 4 has inkjet recording heads 4Y, 4M, 4G, and 4B that eject yellow, magenta, cyan, and blank color inks, respectively, based on image signals from an image reading means (not shown). , a color image is reproduced and recorded on the recording paper 1. These recording heads are arranged, for example, in a full line in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of conveying force on the recording paper, that is, in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper in the figure, so-called full multi-heads.

The recording paper l having a color image recorded on its recording surface is conveyed by a pair of conveying rollers 7 toward a pair of conveying rollers 8 . An ultraviolet ray irradiation device 9 is disposed near the recording paper conveyance path between these roller pairs, and the recorded recording paper 1 is conveyed while being irradiated with ultraviolet rays by this irradiation device 9. As a result, the ink-receiving layer formed on the recording surface of the recording paper 1 is hardened and strengthened, and the ink ejected from the recording head 4 and attached to the ink-receiving layer becomes completely fixed in the ink-receiving layer. .
