Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a pair of annular seats and a pair of annular covers in proper contact with both sides of a plate-shaped sliding valve element despite wear and thermal expansion, by supporting the seats and the covers so that they can move to and from each other and by using springs to urge the seats and the covers in such a direction as to move them to each other. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped valve element 3 slides perpendicular to a fluid passage 1 provided in a valve casing 2, to connect or disconnect the passage to or from a hole 5.
