Abstract

The abrasive member 6 is pressed against the surface of the thin plate 3 through an arm 9 by a pressing member 7 at a predetermined pressure P. The abrasive member 6 is moved linearly in the radial direction of the thin plate 3 by a motor 14 and a feed screw 13 while being vibrated radially by means of a vibratory mechanism 12. Thus the surface of the thin plate is finished highly efficiently.
