Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled adhesive sheet capable of depilating hair when applied to skin and then peeled off, consisting of a specified thermoplastic elastomer and two or more tackifier resins having good compatibility with the elastomer and different softening points. CONSTITUTION:The depilatory adhesive sheet is prepared from a thermoplastic elastomer having a tensile strength of 10kg/cm or higher and a melt index of 200 or lower (e.g. styrene/isoprene/styrene or styrene/butadiene/styrene block copolymer with a styrene content of 5-45wt%) and at least two tackifier resins having good compatibility with the elastomer and differing from each other in melting point by at least 10 deg.C, one being liquid (including paste) at 25 deg.C and having one hydroxyl gp. in the molecule and another one being solid at 25 deg.C.

However, wax type products (1) have the advantage that hair does not grow for a long time after hair removal because they remove hair from the hair root, but on the other hand, they require a complicated operation of heating during use, and they do not require measurement of the melting temperature. The cream type (2) has the advantage of being easy to remove, but has the disadvantage that hair grows in a short period of time because the hair root is not removed.

The adhesive hair removal sheet of the present invention has the convenience of being able to remove hair from the hair root by adhering it to the skin surface and then forcibly peeling it off. The thermoplastic nidistomer used in the implementation of the present invention, which has the following characteristics, is used to improve the physical strength of the adhesive hair removal sheet of the present invention and to solve the dispersion in properties. An elastomer is used which preferably accounts for 30% or less of the total components (by weight) and yet has specific physical properties that can sufficiently achieve the above objectives.

Tensile strength of thermoplastic elastomers ASTM D 41
2) is less than 10 kg/m', which is not preferable because the adhesive hair removal sheet has to be made thin in order to adhere closely to the shape of the skin surface, and is likely to break when it is peeled off from the skin surface; If the temperature is higher than 200F, the fluidity may be too high when heating and melting to form a film during production, resulting in uneven thickness, unnecessary adhesion to the skin surface, or the adhesive layer may flow during storage. This is undesirable because so-called glue oozes out.

The tackifier resin, which is liquid (including paste) at 25°C, imparts flexibility to the adhesive hair removal sheet at low temperatures and improves its adhesion to the skin.
Xylene S resin, which is liquid at 5℃, terpene resin,
Examples include rosin-based resins such as rosin methyl ester, hydrogenated rosin methyl ester, rosin triethylene glycol ester, hydrogenated rosin triethylene glycol ester, and syn/ethylene glycol ester. According to experiments, rosinnisder is treated with metallic sodium and alcohol to reduce the ester and form an alcoholic hydroxyl group.
It has been found that a liquid resin having one OH group in the molecule (containing 14 to 23 weight percent dehydroalcohol, 36 to 39 weight percent dihydroalcohol, and 38 to 50 weight percent tetrahydroalcohol) can be suitably used. ing. As a representative example of such a liquid resin having one OH group, one commercially available from Percules (USA) under the trade name Avitol is suitable.

The other tackifying resin used together with the liquid resin is one that is solid at 25°C and improves adhesion to hair, such as gum rosin, wood rosin, and dammar whose softening 7Q is 50°C or higher. Natural resins such as polymerized rosin, partially hydrogenated rosin, glycerin ester rosin, modified rosin such as pentaerythnotoester rosin, and derivatives thereof, terpene resin, xylene resin, petroleum resin, and the like. It is desirable that the softening point of the resin be within the range of 50 DEG C. to 180 DEG C. in order to prevent the adhesive from remaining on the skin surface and to prevent the adhesive strength from decreasing at low temperatures.

If the liquid resin is less than 20 parts by weight, it will lack flexibility at low temperatures and adhesion to the skin, and if it is more than 200 parts by weight, the flexibility will increase and the adhesion to the skin will be good, but the cohesive force will decrease, The balance with the adhesion to hair is lost, and adhesive residue is produced, making it unsuitable for use in trenches. If the solid resin is less than 50 parts by weight, the adhesion to the hair will be reduced, making it impossible to completely remove the hair, while if it is more than 400 parts by weight, the adhesion to the hair will be better, but the balance with the skin adhesion will be disrupted and hair will be removed from the root. This is undesirable because it makes it difficult to do so, leads to a decrease in cohesive force, and causes adhesive residue.

Note that a reinforcing support such as a thin non-woven fabric, cloth, paper, or plastic film can be interposed or fixed to the core between the layers or on one surface. The adhesive hair removal sheet of the present invention is constructed as described above. By applying this to the skin and forcibly pulling it off, you can reliably remove hair from the hair root, and since the three main ingredients have good compatibility, a thin film can provide sufficient hair removal effect. It has the characteristic that it can be obtained.
