Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the lower part of a cyclone duct from getting clogged with powder, by providing a swingable member which extends downwards from the upper central part of the duct.
CONSTITUTION: A fulcrum 8 is provided at the center of a gas outlet port 6 provided above the central part of a cyclone duct 1. A swing member 7 extends downwards from the fulcrum 8 to the inlet port 5 of a powder recovery container 3 coupled to the lower end of the cyclone duct 1. When gas mixed with powder is supplied through a gas inlet port 2 and swirls downwards along the inside surface of the cyclone duct 1, the member 7 swings and rubs the inside surface of the duct 1 as shown by an arrow 11 in the drawing. The powder clinging to the inside surface of the duct 1 is thus scraped down. According to this constitution, the recovered powder is not piled up in the range from the narrow lower end portion 4 of the duct 1 to the inlet port 5 of the powder recovery container 3. For that reason, the powder is smoothly recovered.
