Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the remote control without a private cable, by using a signal line for data transmission to transmit a signal which turns on and off a power source. CONSTITUTION:An electronic device 10 which receives data from a signal line 11 is provided with a detection control circuit 12, and the detection control circuit 12 is connected to the data line 11. The detection control circuit 12 consists of a detecting circuit, which detects a power on/off signal on the data line 11, and a control circuit which controls a relay 14 which turns on and off a power supply line. The detection control circuit 12 is always preheated by a transformer connected between the power supply line and the circuit 12; and when the detecting circuit detects the power on/off control signal on the data line 11, the control circuit operates the relay 14 to turn on a relay contact 14a, thus connecting the electronic device 10 to a power supply line 13.
