Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the resolving capacity for a phase detecting device using a magnetic distortion delay line, by providing substantially two conductors to which the current flows in the opposite directions to each other at one side of the said delay line. CONSTITUTION:Two lead wires 15 and 16 are provided close to each other at one side of a magnetic distortion line 1, and the currents i1 and i2 are flowed in the opposite direction to each other to these conductors 15 and 16. In this case, a composite magnetic field (H1+H2) of magnetic fields H1 and H2 caused by the currents i1 and i2 is generated. Thus a magnetic field distribution can be obtained with a sharp distribution curve having a small width. As a result, the resolving capacity can be increased.
