Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a system wherein memory transfer between two computers is performed with excellent real-time characteristics and a means of diagnosing a memory transfer function by a computer at a stand-by side. CONSTITUTION:Two computers 1 and 2 using an input-output equipment in common and a doubling controller 3 controlling them by monitoring their operations are provided. When data utilized by either computer in common during actual operation is rewritten in the memory of the computer 1 in actual operation, the doubling controller 3 transfers the data to the memory of the computer 2 on a stand-by side. The computer 1 on the actual operation side updates specific data in its own memory 12 periodically in a prescribed way, and the stand-by side 2 discriminates the variation condition of corresponding specific data in its own memory 22.
