Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate production and improve the realibility, by dividing a piezoelectric vibrator together with a flexible print board and sticking divided materials after laminating an acoustic matching layer on the electrode of one face of the piezoelectric vibrator and faying the flexible print board to the electrode of the other face. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic matching layer 12 where an electrode 11 is formed on one face is fixed onto an electrode 8 of a piezoelectric vibrator 10. Next, an acoustic matching layer 13 which has a propagation speed of ultrasonic waves lower than that of the layer 12 and has the propagation speed higher than that in the medium is fixed onto the layer 12. Next, copper foils 14 for (m) division are arranged, and a flexible print board 17 where insulating film covers 15 and 16 are coated on both faces is fayed to the end part of an electrode 9 of the vibrator 10. After that, the vibrator 10 and electrodes 9 and 8 are divided into m-number materials together with the board 17. These divided materials are fixed to a backing material 19 having an ultrasonic wave absorbing effect, and the copper foil 14 of the print board 17 is led to the back of the backing material 19 and is connected to a connector, thus completing and ultrasonic probe.
