Abstract

PURPOSE: To remedy for cardiac infarction with high safety containing a trans- epoxysuccinamic acid derivative as an active contituent.
CONSTITUTION: A remedy for cardiac infarctin containing a trans-epoxysuccinamic acid derivative expressed by formulaI(R1 is H or 1W4C alkyl; R2 and R3 are H or 1W4C alkyl, phenyl, etc., except when R2 and R3 are H at the same time; R4 is 1W5C alkyl) or a nontoxic salt thereof as an active constituent. In the case of the compound expressed by formulaIin which R1 is not H, an amine derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with a trans-epoxysuccinic monoester expressed by formula III (R5 is 1W4C alkyl) to give a compound expressed by formula IV. The compound expressed by formula V in which R1 is H is obtained by hydrolyzing or removing the ester residue of the compound expressed by formula IV. The dose of the emedy is 100mgW1g/day, and has improved effects on the prevention and treatment of the cardiac infarction.
