Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a hollow cellulosic fiber having a protrusion partially on the periphery thereof and improved dialytic properties, by extruding a spinning solution through an annular spinning hole into the upper layer in a two-layered bath containing a noncoagulating liquid in the upper layer and a coagulating liquid in the lower layer, and passing the resultant extruded solution through the interface between the two layers. CONSTITUTION:A cuprammonium cellulosic spinning solution is extruded through an annular spinning hole of a spinnert 13 while introducing a noncoagulating liquid into the interior thereof, and the solution is coagulated and generated. The extruded solution is introduced into the upper layer 12 of a noncoagulating liquid for the spinning solution in a two-layered bath consisting of the upper layer 12 and a coagulating liquid in the lower layer 11, passed through the interface 15 between the two layers, coagulated and regenerated. The specific gravity of the noncoagulating liquid, e.g. n-hexane, is lower than that of the coagulating liquid, e.g. an aqueous solution of an inorganic acid, and the specific gravity of the linear (filamentary) spinning solution 14, extruded through the spinning hole, and containing the noncoagulating liquid therein preferably lies between those of both liquids. Furthermore, the spinning solution preferably contains a permeability controlling agent.
