Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of quantizing errors in a component type chromakey device by using a tangent or a cotangent properly according to the value of hue theta. CONSTITUTION:The digital data (u) of the U axis of an original video signal and the digital data (v) of the V axis are applied from terminals 1 respectively. These data are sent to multiplexers 5, 6 through latch circuits 3, 4 respectively. On the other hand, the luminance information of the original video signal are outputted from a terminal 31. A digital data theta indicating the hue to be chromakeyed is sent from a terminal 7 to a read-only memory (ROM)8 and an H or L signal is outputted according to the value of theta. When a comparator 14 detects the coincidence of hue by comparing v: u tantheta with u: v cottheta, a comparing circuit 16 detects the saturation factor of colors is larger than the set value and both the detection signals are outputted, the original video signal is switched to video signals from input terminals 25, 30, 37, performing chromakey.
