Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a diversity antenna of simple structure by composing some part of a housing of the lamination of a dielectric layer and a conductor layer, and by forming a linear antenna on the outside dielectric layer and a slot antenna on the inside conductor layer. CONSTITUTION:On the top surface of the housing 1 of a portable radio transmitter-receiver, the four-layer structure of a conductor plate 2, a dielectric 3, a conductor plate 4, and a dielectric 5 successively from the inside is constituted, and on the top surface of the dielecttric 5, a loop antenna 6 is composed of a strip line. On the conductor plate 4, a circular slot concentric with the antenna 6 is constituted. The conductor plates 2 and 4 are each antenna connected at four corners by short- circuit lines 8. The antenna 7 penetrates the conductor plate 2 and dielectric 3 and is fed from below by a feeder 9, and the antenna 6 is fed by a feeder 10 from the flank. Electric fields on which the antennas 6 and 7 operate cross each other at right angles, switched to obtain a polarization diversity antenna.
