Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly press each part of the upper surface of an original by a press-contqct plate even if thickness of the original is differet, by providing an arm member which can be raised and lowered freely centering around the shaft, at the side of an original mounting table, and connecting one side of an original press-contact plate so as to be freely rotatable, to the free end side of the arm member. CONSTITUTION:An arm member 14 is usually in a state that it has fallen down on the upper surface of an original table frame 10 by weight of an original press-contact plate 4 centering around a fulcrum shaft 13 fixed to the table frame side. In case when a set original is thick, the operation is executed by drawing up the plate 4 being in an opened state, in the direction (z) of this side of the plate, and also closing it in the covering (x) to the set original. As a result, the arm member 14 rises and turns centering around the shaft 13, the rear of the plate 4 rises up from the surface of the original table 10, and the plate 4 closes and turns centering arond a shaft 16 whose position hhas been shifted upward as the arm member 14 rises and turns. Accordingly, the plate 4 covers the upper surface of the original in a state that it has been made almost parallel to the surface of the original table which is not shown in the figure.
