Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the operation and to increase the durability, by adjusting the pressure of fuel in a pressure regulating chamber, through the switching of a valve provided between the pressure regulating chamber and a low pressure chamber with a force by a spring and a diaphragm through tension. CONSTITUTION:Fuel delivered with pressure from a fuel pump enters from an inlet pipe 1 to a pressure regulating chamber 4 and it supplied to an engine 3 via an outlet pipe 3. When the pressure in the pressure regulating chamber exceeds a specified value, a diaphragm 16 detaches a valve 9 from a sheet 10 against a force due to elongation of a spring 7, and the fuel flows from the gap to the low pressure chamber and returns to a fuel tank via a return pipe 2. The pressure information given from a pipe 18 to a diaphragm chamber 6, e.g. a suction manifold negative pressure signal controls the diaphragm 16. Thus, the valve 9 is located between the spring 7 and the diaphragm 16, and it is activated with the tension due to both the forces, allowing to ensure the operation with good centrifugality and to obtain products with good durability.
