Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a noise at the low band side, as well, by providing a series connected circuit consisting of a variable gain amplifier and an LPF inserted between input/output terminals, and a transmission line and a feedback line having no gain variation, which are connected in parallel with said circuit. CONSTITUTION:An expanding type NRD circuit 10 provided on the reproduction output side of a tape recorder is constituted of a series connected circuit consisting of a voltage control amplifier 13 inserted between an input terminal 11 and an output terminal 12, and an LPF14 having the turnover frequency in the band by a constant gain at the low band side, and a transmission line 15 and a feedback line 17 having no gain variation, which are provided in parallel with said circuit. An output from the transmission line 15 is added to an output from the LPF14 by an adder 16, and an output of the feedback line 17 is made a subtraction signal, subtracts an input signal by an adder 18, and is supplied to the VCA13. The VCA13 is controlled so that the gain decreases when an input level is small, and the gain increases when the input level is large, and the upper limit and the lower limit of the response are limited by the feedback line 17 and the transmission line 15, respectively. As the input level increases gradually, the turnover frequency is shifted to the high band side, and a noise at the low band side is reduced.
