Abstract
PURPOSE:To reject the reflection of sound produced by unmatching of acoustic impedance density and to simplify the manufacture, transportation and assembling, by using a piezoelectiric body for an oscillator for underwater use transceivers. CONSTITUTION:A transceiver consists of a high polymer piezoelectric material and composite piezoelectric mateial of fine powder between high polymer material and piezoelectric porcelain material, and electrodes 2, 3 are provided inside and outside a rod shape piezoelectric body 1 polarized radially, and they are connected to terminals 2', 3' with leads, and the entire surface of the piezoelectric body 1 is covered with an acoustically transmitting insulating material 4 so that no air bobbles and air layer can be left. Thus, since the acoustic impedance density of the piezoelectric body is very similar that of water, the incoming sound is given in the piezoelectric body without almost reflection.
