Abstract
PURPOSE:To reproduce the binarized data with fidelity even if a half tone is in mixture, by preparing a fixed threshold value of a low level, and picking up the binarized data with this fixed threshold value, if the run length of the binarized data is a prescribed value or less through this threshold value. CONSTITUTION:Scanning is made twice for a scanner with an X clock and a shift clock and a Y clock is inputted with a variable threshold value generator 11 to switch the threshold value sequentially. A video signal (a) outputted from this scanner 9 is compared with a threshold value signal b of a low level at the fixed threshold value generator 10 for binarization and the result is inputted to a run length inspector 14. Black level is inspected at the inspector 14 and 1 is inputted to a buffer memory 15 only when it is a prescribed value or less.
