Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a laser light source of multiwavelength single mode oscillation, by fixing oscillation wavelength of an array of plural multimode semiconductor lasers through a diffraction grating to oscillate them in a single mode. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from a semiconductor laser array 1 where plural semiconductor lasers are arranged in a line along the direction of dispersion of a diffraction grating becomes a parallel light flux by a collimator 4 and is incident to the diffraction grating at an incident angle different by position of each semiconductor laser. The light of a wavelength, which has a diffraction angle equal to an incident angle thetan, from the nth semiconductor laser is fed back to the nth semiconductor laser to fix the oscillation wavelength to lambdan. The oscillation wavelength is fixed similarly for semiconductor laser arrays 2 and 3. The diffracted light of the 0 order of a diffraction grating 7 is diffracted by a diffraction grating 8 of, for example, a double diffraction constant placed here and is condensed to the same point by a telemeter 9. Thus, a light source of multiwavelength single mode oscillation is obtained cheaply.
