Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the error due to fading and radio interference normally in an FDM system, by frequency-dividing transmission data, transmitting it >=3 times by shifting time and modulated frequency, and discriminating it by majority decision at demodulation at reception side. CONSTITUTION:Transmission data is frequency-divided at transmission side each subchannel, the data is transmitted >=3 times by shifting time and modulation frequency without duplication, it is demodulated at the reception side and correct data is obtained by a majority decision method. For example, a serial digital data as shown in Figure, is fed to a code converter, where serial-parallel conversion is made to form the data as shown in Figure, and further it is fed to an FDM modulator and then transmitted by modulating it by PSK etc. At the reception side, this signal is demodulated at an FDM demodulator to reproduce the original data, and this is applied to a majority decision discriminator, and if the transmission data is transmitted consecutively 3 times, when the data of twice or more is correct, this is outputted as a correct data.
