Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish an oscillator with high accuracy and broad variable width, by combining a single frequency oscillator with high accuracy with another oscillator with broad variable range of low accuracy. CONSTITUTION:Taking a frequency of a high accuracy single frequency oscillator OSC1 as f1 and that of a low accuracy broad variable range oscillator OSC2 as f2, f1>>f2 is made. The f1 is frequency-divided with a frequency divider DIV and the difference with the f2 is obtained at a differential circuit DEF1 is obtained and a signal f4 is outputted. The difference between the f1 and the f4 is taken at a differential circuit DEF2 to obtain an output signal f5. When the output of the frequency divider DIV and the f2 are taken almost equal, f5 f1+f2 is obtained to accomplish broad variable range with keeping high accuracy.
