Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the bond strength and to obtain a frame with excellent characteristics by heat-treating the frame in a furnace with a reducing atmosphere under a specific condition before blacking. CONSTITUTION:A hot or cold rolled steel with thickness of 1.6 to 2.0mm. is press- molded to form a rectangular frame. The frame is washed with an organic solvent to remove press-oil and dusts on it. The frame is then heat-treated at a temperature of 500 deg.C or more for three minutes or more in a reducing atmosphere, preferably at a temperature of 550 to 850 deg.C for five minutes or more in a reducing atmosphere. The bond strength of a blacking film which is formed on a frame pretreated is improved.
