Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out both the digital recording and analog recording together even with an input of the digital signal only, by converting the digital signal by a DAC into the analog signal to be used for the analog recording. CONSTITUTION:An analog signal 1 is converted into a digital signal by an ADC5 and via an amplifier 4. Either this digital signal or the signal supplied from the outside and already converted into a digital signal is selected by an input signal switch 3. The selected digital signal is recorded on the digital recording track on a tape 12 by a recording head 8 via a digital signal processing circuit 6. On the other hand, the selected digital signal is fed to a delaying circuit 13 having a delay time equal to the process time of the circuit 6 and converted into an analog signal by a DAC to be recorded simultaneously with the digital signal on the analog recording track on the tape 12 by a recording head 11.
