Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the high temp. strength and thermal fatigue resistance of a casting of an Ni alloy contg. Cr and a carbide forming and soln. hardening type element by subjecting the casting to soln. heat treatment at a specified temp. and aging at a specified temp.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle for a gas turbine is cast from an alloy consisting of 0.2W 1% C, <2% Si, <2% Mn, 20W45% Cr as an element forming secondary carbide, 5W20% at least one of W and Mo, 0.001W0.1% B and the balance ≥40% Ni or further contg. 0.2W3% at least 1 kind of element forming MC type carbide such as Ta, Hf or Zr. The nozzle is subjected to soln. heat treatment at 1,100W1,250°C at which eutectic carbide remains, and it is aged at 930W1,040°C at which secondary carbide is precipitated. Eutectic carbide and uniformly and finely disperased secondary carbide are contained in the matrix to enhance the strength and thermal fatigue resistance at high temp.
