Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain high efficiency by determining a suction flow rate is near the region of a target flow rate given responding to load fluctuations of a plant or far from the region and by controlling the flow rate according to the decision and promptly accomplishing the target flow rate.
CONSTITUTION: A control unit 23 first receives signals from detectors 20W22. These signals allow the control unit 23 to calculate a flow rate Qs and an efficiency η at that time. The flow rate Qs and the target flow rate are compared. When the suction flow rate belongs to the region far from the target flow rate, an operation volume responding to the present flow rate is selected from a contol table which stores a preset flow rate and the operation volume is transferred to a drive unit 19. The drive unit 19 operates inlet guide vanes 11W14 and quickly accomplishes the target flow rate. When the flow rate is near the target flow-rate then, a control volume which is required to make the operation unit to improve its efficiency is determined. This makes it possible to perform highly efficient operation.
