Abstract

PURPOSE:To directly decode to a voice, by driving a diaphragm having an area which is proportional to a weight value of a corresponding bit, by a PCM encoding sound signal which has been made parallel. CONSTITUTION:A PCM code (c) which is transmitted from a central station or other terminal station selects a subscriber by an electronic switchboard 21, also is converted to a PCM code (d) which is suitable for transmission by a subscriber's line, by a digital-digital converter 22, and is transmitted up to a terminal telephone set 23. This terminal telephone set 23 directly decodes the PCM code to a voice by vibration of air, without D/A-converting it electrically.
