Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the effective use of a cable logarithm and at the same time to avoid the limitation caused to the intermediate space by the inter-cable near-end crosstalk attenuation, by combining a digital arithmetic system and a frequency dividing transmission system while using the features of a DELTAM system. CONSTITUTION:A voice band signal supplied through an input terminal 1 of said band signal is multiplexed by a muliplexing circuit 4. The multiplexed signal is converted into a linear PCM code through a DELTAM/PCM converting circuit 10. A digital processing circuit 11 converts the PCM code into a digital SSB-FDM signal through a high-speed Fourier conversion and a digital filter. The digital SSB- FDM signal is then converted into an analog SSB-FDM signal by a D/A converter 12. This analog signal is converted into a frequency band suited to the transmission of signal by a modulating circuit 13 and a carrier current supply circuit 14. A branching filter 15 is shown in the diagram.
