Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it easier to process plates for a jet head and also make it possible to realize a jet head of multi-nozzle type by such an arrangement wherein the wall of the recessed portion of one of two opposing plates of the jet head is changed to a flexible type wall. CONSTITUTION:Of two opposing plates, No.1 plate 11 and No.2 plate 12, No.1 plate is provided with a recessed portion 11a formed by etching and its thinly formed portion is a flexible wall 11b. A space formed by the surface of No.2 plate 12 and the recessed portion 11a forms a jet chamber 13 and it is supplied with ink 16 from an ink storage 14 through a pipe passage 15. When a pulse generator 18 outputs electrical pulses in response to record information, a piezoelectric crystal adhered to the flexible wall 11b of No.1 plate 11 is driven and ink particles are jetted out from a nozzle 19.
