Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase a processing speed by providing a page specifying register controllable by a microprogram, and an address specifying register for an address in a page which fetches the contents of the instruction register directly. CONSTITUTION:The contents of an instruction register 11 are stored in a mu program address register 14 through an address selecting circuit 13, and the contents of a page register 61 are controlled by a mu program. By a signal 6b generated by linking the contents of the mu program registers 14 and 16 to each other, the address of a mu program storage device 15 is specified and one mu instruction word is read out of the device 15. Its contents are decoded by mu instruction decoder 17 to generate various control signals. An address selection bit 6c2 from the device controls a circuit 13; a page control part 6c3 is returned to a register 61, and an address control part 6c4 is returned to the circuit 13. Thus, a series of mu instruction is executed successively and the output of a register 11 is inputted to the register 14 without being passed through the decoder, speeding the processing.
