Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the sensitivity of detection for pressure twice and to widen a measurement range by complementarily using two pressure sensors which use as pressure sensitive elements conductive fibers varying in resistance value with pressure. CONSTITUTION:Pressure sensor bodies 3 and 4 are formed by orienting and forming conductive fibers such as carbon fibers and then adhering electrode plates to both surfaces; one surface of the two electrode plates is fixed on a movable plate 5, and the other electrode surface is fixed on the internal wall of an external container 6. A conductive lever 7 is fixed on at least either of the sensor bodies 3 and 4 through a circular doughnut-shaped hole. A pressure receiving diaphragm 8 supported in the external container 6 generates stress according to externally applied pressure and also generates stress strain, which is conducted to the movable plate 5 through the conductive lever 7. On the internal wall of the external container 6, stoppers 9 and 10 for limiting the operating range of the movable plate 5 are provided.
