Abstract

PURPOSE: Electrically conductive composite fibers, constituted of a thermoplastic polymer containing stannic oxide powder and a thermoplastic polymer having the affinity for the polymer, divided into plural parts by both components, containing an antistatic agent, and having improved antistatic properties.
CONSTITUTION: Fibers, consisting of (A) a thermoplastic polymer containing (i) an electrically conductive stannic oxide powder and/or (ii) a thermoplastic polymer containing powder and by coating another inorganic material with an electrically conductive stannic oxide and (B) a thermoplastic polymer having the affinity for the component (A), and having a cross-sectional shape in which either one of the components (A), and (B) is divided by the other and arranged in the rotation of symmetry component to expose to protrude to the fibrous surface. A polyoxyalkylene oxide antistatic agent is contained in either one or both of the components. Preferably, polyester, polyamide or polyolefin may be used as the thermoplastic polymer in the components (A) and (B).
