Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain honeycomb forming die with superior strength easily by the following method in which a metal plate is connected to a method block having many holes and honeycomb penetrated grooves formed therein at specially determined temperature by diffusion welding method, and successively forming grooves are made on said metal plate.
CONSTITUTION: Many separated holes 6 are formed on the flat plane of a metal block 4a' by a drilling machine, and then honeycomb penetrated grooves 5 are made by machining or electric discharge machining method or the like. And a methal plate 4b is caused to adhere under pressure to the obtained die body 4a, and simultaneously, said die body 4a and metal plate 4b are diffusion-welded by means of heating at the temperature higher than the recrystallization temperature and lower than the melting temperature of either the metal plate 4b or the die body 4a. Next, the honeycomb forming grooves 1 are formed at the position overlapped by the penetrated groove 5 of the metal plate by a thin type-grinder etc. Thus, the objective honeycomb forming die is obtained.
