Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an optical disc device which can record or reproduce both sides of an optical disc with one optical head continuously, simply with low cost, by linking an optical head to a moving member rotatably by 180 deg. to the disc surface. CONSTITUTION:An optical head 13 is fitted to the tip of a crank 16 linked to a rotating member 17 movable to the radial direction of an optical disc with a moving member 21. Both sides of the disc 11 can continuously be recorded or reproduced with the optical head by rotating the member 17 around a rotating shaft center 18 within a disc plane by 180 deg. through the rotary shaft of the disc 11. This optical disc device is simple in the construction and low in the cost.
