Abstract

PURPOSE:To use effectively the space of an input device and eliminate the malfunction to improve the reliability, by lapping the finger depression part of switches over the display part of them. CONSTITUTION:Transparent upper electrodes 5 are provided on a transparent substrate 4. A pair of lower electrodes, the first electrode 10 and the second electrode 11 are formed on a lower substrate 9 in accordance with the position of each upper electrode 5. The lowr substrate 9 is provided with a control circuit 12 which detects the finger depression operation of upper electrodes 5. Display parts 7 are provided on a switch display sheet 6 in accordance with upper electrodes 5. The disply sheet 6 is mounted replaceably between the substrate 4 and the substrate 9. Light emitting elements are provided on the display sheet, and photodetectors are provided on the substrate 9. The first electrodes 10 are connected in series to a high frequency power source, and the second electrodes 11 are connected in parallel to a switch discriminating circuit, and the discriminating circuit is connected to a computer. Photodetectors 17 are connected to the computer through a sheet discriminating circuit.
