Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a control device which has a high reliability and is superior in extensibility and is easily made into an LSI, by providing common interface circuits and self-diagnostic circuits in controller stations and display stations respectively and performing specific operations in these circuits. CONSTITUTION:Controller stations 1 and 2 for the control of one loop and a display station 5, which incorporate computers respectively, and loop dual communication lines 7, through which equal communication is performed among these stations sequentially, connecting these stations are provided. A common self-diagnostic circuit 12 and a communication interface circuit 11 are provided in each station; and under the contro of the incroporated computer, the self- diagnostic circuit 12 disconnects the local station from the communication lines 7 and by-passes the communication signal when the local station becomes faulty. The communication interface circuit 11 selects one of communication lines 7 to take in the signal on this selected line as an input signal when the local station is normal, and the signal generated in the local station or the selected input signal is delayed as required to obtain an output signal.
