CONSTITUTION:The density value of a point (mark O) considered to be a highlight point on an original and that of a point (mark ) considered to a shadow point are supplied to a processing circuit 2 through an optical system 1. The circuit 2 regards as the highlight point a point where each density signal is balanced most and the density of a signal between points is least or relatively small, or where the density of a signal between points is least and the signals are balanced most between the points. Then, a mark showing the position of each point is added upon occasion and supplied to a display and output device 3, thereby realizing visual display.
