Abstract

PURPOSE:To display whether there is paper of a desired size in an assigned cassette and a nonassigned cassette or not in a copying machine which can be contained with plural cassettes by using the brightness and flickering of lamps selectively. CONSTITUTION:Either of an upper cassette and a lower cassette is selected by a cassette selection button 8. The results are displayed in cassette position display lamps 6, 7. If there is paper in the selected cassette, the lamp of that size lights brightly on a display panel 10. The size of the cassette which is not selected is also displayed by the dark lighting of the lamp. If there is no paper in the selected cassette, the paper absence display lamp flickers. When there is no paper in the cassette which is not selected, the paper absence display lamp lights darkly.
