Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency of an air conditioner, reduce electric power consumption and stabilize an indoor temperture by varying capacity of a compressor according to indoor load and varying a variable region of the capacity of the compressor according to an outdoor temperature. CONSTITUTION:A signal, such as an indoor temperature from an indoor load meter 1 is applied to an indoor load controller 2, and applied to a speed signal generator 5 by generating rotary speed instructions of an electric compressor. A signal from an outdoor thermometer 3 is applied to a correction arithmetic unit 4, correction quantity of a rotary speed of an electric compressor corresponding to a variation of an outdoor temperature is made applicable and is applied to the speed signal generator 5, appropriate rotary speed instructions for the electric compressor is generated from the speed signal generator 5 through a signal from the indoor load controller 2 and the correction arithmetic unit 4, and then the electric compressor 7 is controlled through an electric compressor controller 6.
