Abstract
PURPOSE:To assay trace living body components quickly and accurately by measuring the intensity of the IR fluorescence of the phosphor in the antigen- antibody composite matter wherein the antigen or antibody marked with a chelate compd. of a rare earth phosphor is caused to react with the antigen or antibody of a sample to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A chelate compd. consisting of an IR excited IR fluorescent phosphor and a bifunctional ligand, a marked antigen or antibody obtd. by chemical binding the antigen or antibody and the antigen or antibody of a sample to be measured are caused to react, whereby antigen-antibody composite matter 2 is obtd. Next, IR light 9 is irradiated from a light source 3 such as GaAlAs type laser diode to the composite matter layer 2 on a glass plate 1 through an interference filter 4, and the IR fluorescence 10 produced from the sample is introduced through a polycrystalline filter 5 of a multielement compd. semiconductor into a detector 6, by which the intensity of the IR fluorescence is measured. The measured value is amplified with an amplifier 7 and is displayed in a display 8.
