CONSTITUTION:In the D/A converter of a digital video system, an input digital signal D12 is inputted to a digital code converter 10 for nonlinear conversion, and a digital signal I14 is outputted. The signal I is inputted to a linear D/A converter 11, which output an analog signal A13 which has nonlinear relation to the input digital value D12. This D/A converter has gamma conversion characteristics so that gamma is >=1, and perform the gamma correction of a signal system having the gamma which is >=1. therefore, a gamma compensating circuit is omitted and high- precision gamma compensation effect is obtained.
