Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a precise work in a transfer device unnecessary and extend the measurement range, by providing a scale between transfer members of contacts in a displacement detecting device. CONSTITUTION:A mechanism which moves two contacts 18 for measurement of displacement is provided in a detecting head 16. When the driving force rotates nut members 32 and 33 through belts 40 and 41, male screw shafts 31 and 30 engaged with these nuts are moved laterally. The first members 47 and 46 fixed to respective screw shafts and the second laterally sliding members 53 and 52 are connected by flat springs 49 and 48, and the second members hold contacts. When contacts are brought into contact with a material to be measured, the second members are stopped, and the displacement between contacts is measured optically by a glass scale 55 provided in one second member 53 and an index scale provided in the other second member 52. Meanwhile, the first members continue moving to deform flat springs and are stopped by the operation of a contactless switch 83 due to a magnet 86.
