Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the blocking of a terminal equipment by providing a communication controller with a storage part stored with terminal conditions, and by transmitting polling sequence only once a prescribed number of times when a terminal to which a polling indication is sent is in a communication disabled state. CONSTITUTION:In response to a polling indication from a CPU2, the polling control part 13 of a communication controller 3 refers tothe contents of an unanswering terminal storage part 12. When a corresponding terminal equipment as a polling objective is in a communication disabled state, a polling sequence is sent from a polling transmission part 10 to corresonding terminal equipments 6-A-6-C once a prescribed number of polling indications and during the remaining period, the terminal equipments 6-A-6-C inform the CPU2 that answers having no transmitted data have been received. On the trnsmission of the polling sequence, when the answers from the terminal equipments 6-A-6-C are detected, the contents of the unanswering terminal storage part 12 are modified into those showing a communication is in enabled state.
