Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform sorting and summing of data stored in a memory by a desired sorting method in a short time, by assigning sorting codes for the sorting and summing to the data in advance and storing the data in the memory. CONSTITUTION:When an operator inputs a sorting code ''ABC'' into an input device 2, a summing instruction is outputted to an operation control part 3. Then the address signal of the first article is outputted to the data memory 5 from the control part 3. The sorting code of the first article is read out for the control part 3 by said address signal. The control part 3 checks the sorting code to see whether the code is ''ABC'' or not. If it is ''ABC'', the article code and data corresponding to said sorting code are read out and summed. Then the control part 3 judges whether the retrieval of all the data in the memory 5 is finished or not. If the retrieval of all the data is not finished, the address signal of the next article is outputted from the device 3 to the data memory 5. Then, the sorting data for the next article is read out for the control part 3, and the same procedure is repeated hereinafter.
