Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the durability and swing restrictive function by providing an elastic tensioner means, with antiabrasive substance stuck on its contact face, at the pressure side of a guide slipper. CONSTITUTION:Between a drive sprocket 3 and a cam sprocket 7 a tension slipper 10 is pivoted swingably in such a way as able to contact or separate from the chain 8 freely through a pivot shaft 9 to the engine 1 located nearer the drive sprocket 3. A leaf spring 12 is solidly fixed to the base surface 10a of the tension slipper 10 with a screw 11 and an anti-abrasive substance 13 lined with teflon on rubber surface is stuck over the root end surface of the tension slipper 10 and the surface of leaf spring 12. At the tip of the rear side of tension slipper 10 a stepped rod 14 for supporting the slipper is pivoted and a spring 17 is interposed between the engine 1 and this.
