Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of air lock in a pump used in a waste water purifying plant or the like even if air is drawn into the pump from its water inlet port and to enable to obtain strong and stable suction force, by connecting an inlet and an outlet of the pump via a pipe for recirculating a portion of water drawn by the pump. CONSTITUTION:Since, according to the present invention, a pump outlet 6 and a pump inlet 3 are connected via a pipe 5, a portion of water drawn by the pump is recirculated through a circulating passage of the pipe 5. Therefore, if air is drawn into the pump casing, occurrence of air lock is prevented and water drawn from a water inlet port 4 is discharged from the pump outlet 6 to the outside via a discharge hose 7. At the same time, air drawn into the pump is also discharged to the outside together with water and floatage drawn into the pump. By thus forming a water recirculating passage, suction force of the pump can be rendered stable. Further, since a section 8 where the pump inlet 3 joins a water drawing passage 1 functions like a jet pump, water drawn from the inlet port 4 can be sent into the pump casing continuously and positively.
