Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for the supply/discharge to the read/write part, by using three rollers in such a way that a roller of the hopper side turns only in the feed-in direction; a roller of the stacker side turns only in the discharging direction; and a middle roller turns in the opposite direction to other two rollers at its both sides respectively. CONSTITUTION:Three rollers R1, R2 and R3 are used. The roller R1 of the hopper side turns only in the feed-in direction; the roller R3 of the stacker side turns only in the discharging direction; and the middle roller R2 turns only in the direction opposite to the rollers R1 and R3 respectively. In other words, the faces of the rollers R1 and R2 which are opposed to each other turn only in the feed-in direction, and the faces of the rollers R2 and R3 which are opposed to each other turn only in the discharging direction. Then the discharging action of a floppy disk is started by the rollers R2 and R3, and at the same time the feed-in action of the floppy disk is started by the rollers R1 and R2. Thus the next floppy disk D3 is fed in when a floppy disk D2 is discharged.
