Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the format change of an earth station, without causing short break of signal during relay, by making format change in synchronizing with the superframe of a satellite. CONSTITUTION:An output of receivers 9-12 receiving a reception signal is inputted to a switch matrix 17, transmitters 13-16 are connected in time division with a memory data of a connection control section 18 and the synchronizing window transmitting the synchronizing burst and the data window transmitting the data burst are formed. Further, the switch matrix 17 is changed over with the memory content of the section 18. When this memory switching command is received, the memory changeover is made at the head of the superframe immediately after the reception. On the other hand, a line managing station announces in advance that the memory changeover of satellites is made to each earth station by using the controlling data line, and transmits the control signal so that the changeover at the satellites is made with the same superframe.
