Abstract

PURPOSE:To set a correct-speed playback state in a short time by detecting the period of control pulses recorded on a tape by a gate circuit which includes a monostable multivibrator. CONSTITUTION:Monostable multivibrator 2 and 4 triggered by a control pulse 1 generate output with pulse width which corresponds to the period of the control pulse. The output of the monostable multivibrator 2 and the control pulse are supplied to an FF5 through an AND gate 3, and the output of the monostable multivibrator 4 is supplie to the FF5. Then, the period of the control pulse is detected and on the basis of the FF5, tape speeds are changed. Therefore, tapes which have been recorded on a 60-field and a 50-field system are both placed in correct-shaped playback states in a short time, respectively.
