Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a number of light transmissive sheets of the same quality with high productivity, by producing a mold containing a convex surface which shows a desired light guide path pattern and shifting a hollow mold from the above-mentioned mold to a substrate using the silicone rubber.
CONSTITUTION: A groove 3 is cut by a diamond cutter, etc. on the surface of a metallic plate to form a linear convex surface 2 showing a desired light guide pattern. Thus a mold 1 is obtained. The twin-pack silicon RTV rubber or LTV rubber 4 is coated on the surface of the mold 1 and then hardened as it is. The hardened rubber separated from the mold 1 to be used a substrate 4' of a light transmissive sheet. A high refractive index resin 6 (polystyrene, polyvinylidene chloride, etc.) is filled into a hollow surface 5 shifted to the substrate 4'. At the same time, a low refractive index resin 7 (cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose propionate, etc.) is coated on the entire surface. In such way, a number of substrate sheets are obtained with the same quality.
